Xpenstack Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of the Xpenstack web app at https://app.xpenstack.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
1. What Xpenstack is
Xpenstack is an invite-only personal expense and budget tracking app. It lets you record expenses and receipt items, record money in, organize entries, set budgets, track recurring entries, and review summaries. The Service is provided for personal record-keeping.
Xpenstack does not connect to your bank, initiate payments, verify your transactions, or provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility and invitations
You may use the Service only if you are eligible to create an account and have been invited or otherwise authorized by the operator. The operator may decline or revoke access where reasonably needed to protect the Service, its users, or comply with law.
3. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. Do not share your sign-in credentials or attempt to access another person’s account.
4. Your records
You are responsible for the records and notes you enter and for checking that they are accurate. You retain your rights in the information you submit. You authorize us to host, process, back up, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service and meet legal obligations.
Do not enter bank passwords, full payment-card numbers, or information you do not have the right to use. Keep any separate copies or records you need; you should not rely on Xpenstack as your only record.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to violate another person’s rights;
- access or try to access another user’s account or information;
- probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, database security, or other safeguards;
- disrupt, overload, or damage the Service; or
- upload malicious code or use the Service to distribute spam or harmful content.
6. Calculations and third-party services
Totals, budgets, summaries, and currency conversions are provided as tracking aids. Exchange-rate data may be delayed, provisional, incomplete, or different from the rate applied by your bank. Check important figures independently before relying on them.
The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, database, security, and other operational services. Their services may occasionally be unavailable or change. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. Where practical, we will give users reasonable notice of a material change or closure.
8. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by emailing contact@xpenstack.com. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, threaten the security or operation of the Service, or where required by law. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will meet every requirement, that stored information will always be available, or that calculations or exchange rates will be error-free. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for maintaining any records you need.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or decisions made using information in the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes or as required by law. We will update the date above and provide notice of material changes through an appropriate channel. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them, unless applicable law requires another form of acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law, except that this choice does not remove any mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of your country of residence.
